Andrew's Impressive Career in Dance and Education
Starting in his teenage years and continuing into his early twenties, Andrew earned numerous dance scholarships, which allowed him to study ballet under Alexander Bennet of the Royal Ballet of London. He went on to become a principal dancer for the Scottish American Ballet from 1982 to 1989, performing in six international tours, as well as in film, theater, restaurants, clubs, and circus shows. For the past 30 years, he has taught dance and movement to children (ages 3 and up) and adults.

Meet Andrew, the Talented Choreographer and Production Director
From a young age, Andrew has been honing his skills in the field of choreography and production. He started as an assistant to Alexander Bennett and has since set many renowned ballets such as La Sylphide, Coppelia, Gisselle, Swan Lake, and The Haunted Ballroom. Andrew's own original ballets, including "Fire," "Dreams," and "Zhor's Magical Tour of Dance," are a testament to his creativity and talent.

Andrew's Career in the Dance Industry
For a decade (2002-2012), Andrew was the proud owner and director of the Guilfoil Academy of Dance and Ballet Theater Company in Clearwater/St. Pete, Florida. During his time there, he staged a yearly production of The Nutcracker in St. Pete. Andrew also served as the Director of Dance for grades K-5 at Academie Da Vinci, a public charter school, from 2006-2009. Since 2002, he has been teaching classical ballet and dance in the Tampa Bay area. Presently, Andrew is the owner and operator of the Guilfoil Dance Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, and performs weekly in Zhor's Magical Tour of Dance.

His love and passion for the arts have touched many, particularly his students who have gone on to become professional dancers working for major production companies across the country.

Present Occupation:

Andrew Guilfoil is Co-owner and Director of B Andrew Organic Salon & Spa in St Petersburg Fl. where he offers a wide variety of salon and spa services, such as hair styling & color,  facials, massage & body oxygenation treatments, using his own line of completely organic B Andrew Skin Care products to cleanse and condition the face and skin. He is also a Ballet Master, teaching dance and offers weekly classes in ballet and belly dance. 

 

Past Training

Andrew became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for the state of Tennessee in 1989.  Andrew maintained a therapeutic massage practice with a focus on healing energy, trauma, coaching and integrated body work in Chattanooga Tennessee for 15 years.

 

His work with clients eventually led into working with special needs children (see article from newspaper here).
